The Chat Box

Who thinks that the Chat Box is basically "Eliminating" Visitor Messaging? I have not seen anyone's profile with 1 Visitor message yet here on KIFG Forums. I am not complaining, I am just stating that it is basically taking place of Visitor Messaging. I kind of like it because I find it easier to contact members in the Chat box instead of Visitor Messaging. Thanks for reading!

The chat box is a our main feature of this site. Visitor and private messages can be used if you want to contact a member that is currently not online. The chatbox just makes it easier, more interactive and fun to chat with an online member.

I like it as one of our main features, I have one question about it though.
Will we keep it once we become a Domain?

Most likely, we will. If the members start to cause trouble in the chat box, we might remove it. If many members seem to be crowded in the chat box, we will add another chat box server.

I would really like another server in the chat.
Makes it easier for more private conversations
without the slowiness of PM'ing.

Anyways, I think the Chatbox is a great option.
The thing is, we aren't informed when we receive
a VM. So, I could have a VM For a couple weeks and
not even know.

VMs don't go around much on these sites, since we have chat boxes.
PMs are more for private, or surprise things to discuss or work out.
If the site gets really busy, along with the chat box, then we can add another server to it, As of now, we're alright.

when you go to someones profile there should be a box that you can type in then hit send then there will be more

The way I view it, the Chat Box will be nearly impossible to use when we obtain a notable amount of registered users. With so many messages per minute, and even second, having a conversation will be a thing of the past. As for now, though, we are fine.

In time, Visitor Messages will begin to be used much more frequently.
