This is going to be your Basics Guide to Grub Guardian.
I will try my best to explain EVERYTHING, in this guide.
Please note, this isn't completely finished, I just wanted
to get the thread up and start some of it. It will be done
before the 10 Days however.
Firstly, the big question. "What is Grub Guardian?"
Grub Guardian is a Tower Defense Style Game
Created by Kingisle, the makers of Wizard101.
Kingisle stated they were looking towards the "Zynga"
Type games while making Grub Guardian.
The Game Lets you log onto your Wizard101 Account
and train your pet (And Feed it!)
While playing a fun game! Please Note,
you cannot play Wizard101 and Grub Guardian (Being Logged On)
At the same time. You will be logged off from the account
logged onto first. (Just so you don't think you've been hacked
)
And how does it all begin?
Well, when you visit KIFreeGames,
you can choose to play Grub Guardian.
And so the journey begins...
You can choose to play on your Wizard101 Account,
or as a Guest. Please Remember, if you play as a guest,
your progress will
not Be saved and you must start over
the next time you play. I highly recommend logging in.
Once you've logged on, (Or Chose Guest)
You will be prompted to choose your pet and character.
Please note, you will be using your
own Pet Energy.
And once you choose your character and pet, Milo
will give you a little speech/tutorial.
He will tell you most of the things,
but i'll be going a bit more in detail of that.
And so after you cover the Tutorial,
You can start Playing!
Something I just had to add in before
the main part of the Tutorial starts,
please keep this in mind while you select your pet
and play the game.
Anyways, you will be prompted to select place your pet,
(And Select your pet if you have not been logged on already)
And so once you place your pet, you can start playing!
You need to choose a tower. Towers will usually be spells,
that you place and they will attack the enemies for you.
The enemies are going after your pet food, and you have ten chances.
Once all ten pet foods are gone, game over.
(The More Pet food you have left at the end,
the better the reward will be)
Towers will cost you silver, and you keep track of your silver
at the top of the screen.
The amount of silver you start off with every level will vary
for most levels. The first level will let you start off with 60 Silver.
Perfect Amount!
Select all your towers, and then press the "Go" Button to begin
the round. Every game has a special amount of "Waves"
Each Wave will have a lot of enemies,
and the Spiral Door keeps track of the Waves for you.
The last couple of waves are usually the hardest waves.
Throughout every wave, you need to constantly level
and place towers, so you can survive. My strategy involves
several myth towers, and leveling up the towers.
Whats Leveling Towers you might ask?
Well if you click on the tower, you can "Upgrade" It.
Upgrading a tower will usually lead to silver being spent,
and the tower will change into a higher level spell.
Eventually you'll reach the maximum level and you cannot
upgrade your tower anymore (Boohoo)
and it'll be maxed out.
Did you know you could also sell your tower?
If you click on the tower, you can press sell.
However, I don't recommend selling.
You sell the tower for less than you bought it with,
meaning you just wasted precious silver.
I
only recommend selling if you
are in absolute-gonna-lose-the-game
situation. Other than that,
just keep the tower and deal with it :/
Knowing your foe is very important in the game.
The picture I added above tells you a lot about
the Ambrose Annihilator, and the Resistance
function of the game, which can be very critical
in the higher worlds/levels.
If you right-off-the-top-of-your-head know the school
of the enemy for that level, I advise you
to either place the opposite school,
or a school that is neither the same, or the opposite.
It's better for everyone :3
Know that every level only has one food dish, which
contains all 10 of your Pet Foods. You cannot move the dish
around or "Hide" The Pet Dish.
This picture explains a lot about the game and is very helpful imo.
It shows how the Waves are functioned,
the amount of gold functions, and the pet tower.
SOMETHING I FORGOT TO MENTION:
The pet is a tower and will occasionally help you.
I suggest placing a high level pet, as it benefits the pet
and you with your gameplay. I suggest leveling the pet
that is a low-level in game rather than getting defeated several
times because your pet was to weak.
Placing your Towers:
I don't recommend placing your towers near the pet food.
Place them near the Spiral Door.
Why?
Because this gives your pet more time to attack the enemy.
If all your towers are cluttered near the Pet Food,
it gives them little time to attack the enemy and by the time
it's almost dead, POP, you lost a pet food.
If you accidently place a tower in the wrong spot,
don't worry! Simply click on the tower again and you will
have the ability to move it. Everyone makes that mistake sometime q:
Ultimate Set Up?
There is no Ultimate Set Up.
Everyone has there own version of an ultimate set up.
For example, this, imo, is an ultimate Set up
But to Kaito, this could be a terrible set up.
So don't go on spending your life trying to find an ultimate Set up,
you won't find one.
After Every Level,
you'll find a medal next to the map you just completed..
Along with this,
You'll get a code that gives you special items.
(Remember, this is only if you chose codes, rather
than pet leveling)
(The Code is New, First Come, First Serve)
Sometimes, you'll have unlocked a new level
And every once in a while, you'll have unlocked a new world.
You'll find your new level at the level selection.
A Very Helpful Tip is this little section
you'll find describing every level.
This Shows you what schools you will be able
to use during each level and lets you plan
out a strategy ahead of time.
Very Very Very Helpful.
Item in your Way?
Has there ever been a time when you wanted to place
a tower down, but there's been something in your way?
Well if you've played games like me,
you might think "Oh no, I wish I could place the tower there!"
Well just forget that. Because you can!
Simply hover your mouse over the selected area,
and you place it there like any ordinary thing.
Pet Levels:
(Please, I am still working on these. They take time)
